Syncom proudly announces that our spin-off company BioBTX has been awarded with the Bio-Based Chemical Innovation Award. This prestigious prize acknowledges the importance of the research carried out by BioBTX to convert waste streams into valuable products with high efficiencies.
Dr. Niels Schenk, Chief Technology Officer at BioBTX said: “BioBTX has developed technology to convert crude glycerin from biodiesel production into key chemical building blocks such as para-xylene. With these chemical building blocks, it is possible to make performance materials out of biomass. We are very honored and proud that the international jury of independent industry experts selected us for the award! We have been working hard with a dedicated team of motivated people and it feels great to see our efforts rewarded. It motivates us to continue to get our technology further to the market. So make sure you follow our developments! We have a major announcement in June, so make sure you follow us on twitter (@BioBTX) or linkedin!”
Wining the Bio-Based Chemical Innovation Award is a key recognition of our efforts to contribute to a sustainable bio-based economy.
